Achal qualified from Barts and the Royal London School for Dentistry in 2003. On qualification he worked as a general dentist for 2 years, after which he setup and established his own dental clinic.
In 2007 he was awarded two separate dental contracts by NHS England to provide dental services to the local population, which he did and established. He then moved on to build a dental group where for many years, he as Clinical Director, was responsible for all clinical operations at nine clinics. In this time, he also took the role as Educational Supervisor for Health Education England, where he provided mentorship and training for newly qualified dentists.
Achal currently works for NHS England and the GDC (General Dental Council) as a Clinical Dental Adviser where he provides clinical advice on various clinical issues such as complaints and carrying out compliance inspections for dental surgeries.
Achal is now focused on his clinical dentistry and after years of experience in the field of dentistry is looking to establish a high quality supportive dental service for his patients through SmileShines.
His dental interests are implants and composite bonding and he enjoys the opportunity to interact with his patients, some of whom he has been treating for over 18 years.
Outside of dentistry, Achal enjoys time at the gym and watching his two kids play endless cricket. He loves F1 and anything motorsport related and enjoys watching Arsenal play (when they are winning, which is not often these days!)
